Significant, immediate benefits and deserves priority attention. Meaningfully improves development speed, product quality, maintainability, or security; delaying adoption creates opportunity cost.
Strong long-term potential but does not require immediate action. May still need organizational skill-building, tooling maturity, or ecosystem stabilization. Track closely, run experiments, position for future adoption.
May demand immediate attention due to vendor pressure, market noise, or emerging compliance — but actual value is uncertain or limited. Validate claims and avoid broad adoption until the benefits are clear.
Provides limited benefit and does not require immediate migration. Usually older, less capable, or superseded by modern alternatives. Minimize new usage and begin planning long-term phase-out.
